1. Who we are
ShireServices Trust Network is a local trade verification and job-matching platform operated by the app owner. This page is maintained by the app owner to explain how personal data is handled.
Data controller contact: taponemarketinguk@gmail.com
ICO registration reference: ZB744042
2. What data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, postcode, and role (homeowner or merchant) when you sign up.
- Job data: trade category, job description, urgency level, time frame, and postcode for leads posted.
- Verification documents: for merchants, a photo ID, insurance/Ltd formation document, and utility proof at the same address.
- Fleet data: employee names, photos, and van registrations for merchant fleet management.
- Payment data: we do not store homeowner card details. Merchant payment links, PayPal.me links, and bank details are stored if a merchant chooses to add them. Merchant-owned Stripe keys are encrypted at rest.
- Location data: live GPS location is only collected when a merchant explicitly taps “On my way” and stops automatically when the job is marked complete.
- Communication data: messages and job photos (before, progress, after) sent through the in-app workflow.
- Usage data: standard error logs and analytics to keep the service secure and reliable.
3. How we use your data
- To verify merchants and display trust signals (ratings, badges, certificates) to the public.
- To match homeowners with verified providers in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
- To enable emergency broadcast alerts to nearby verified providers.
- To process job scheduling, live tracking, and in-app messaging.
- To collect the £4 micro-fee per job claim via Stripe.
- To contact you about your account, jobs, or security issues.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data on the basis of contract performance (providing the service you signed up for), legal obligation (verification and tax records), and legitimate interests (fraud prevention, platform security, and emergency dispatch). Where required by law, we obtain consent for optional features such as live location sharing.
5. Data sharing and subprocessors
We share data only with the subprocessors needed to run the platform:
- Lovable Cloud: backend database, authentication, and storage infrastructure.
- Stripe: payment processing for the £4 micro-fee and merchant-owned checkout.
- Email delivery service: transactional emails and admin notifications.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your account and job data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period to comply with legal, tax, and dispute-resolution requirements. Verification documents may be retained for the period required to satisfy compliance and insurance obligations. You can request deletion by contacting us.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at taponemarketinguk@gmail.com. We will respond within one calendar month.
8. Security
We use row-level security, encrypted storage, and admin review for sensitive verification documents. Merchant-owned Stripe keys are encrypted at rest. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please report concerns immediately.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and functional cookies to run the service. We may use basic analytics to understand usage. The site also displays a third-party trust seal script; refer to that provider’s privacy policy for details of any cookies they set.
